Society of Wildlife Artists blog: A world of wildlife on show

Darren is looking forward to the SWLA's upcoming exhibition at Artsbank in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Teeside.

The Society of Wildlife Artists annual show in London is an eagerly anticipated event in the art year, yet it seems quite a wait and a long way to travel for many people.

So, we have organised some regional shows around the UK - July sees the colourful menagerie of wildlife paintings and sculpture visit a new venue in the north-east.
Artsbank is a new exhibition space in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, a delightful and beautifully maintained Victorian seaside town in Teeside.
Refurbished from a substantial high street property (a former bank), the gallery space takes up five floors.
So expect to see works by well known artists including Harriet Mead, John Busby, Mike Warren, Carry Akroyd, Adam Binder, Robert Greenhalf and David Bennett (I snuck some of mine in too).
The exhibition runs from 2 to 31 July 2011.
